Mise à mort du dollar: la Chine vend un montant historique de dette américaine

Pékin s’est délesté de 53,3 milliards de dollars de bons du Trésor au cours du premier trimestre 2024, selon des calculs basés sur les données du Département du Trésor américain.

Et la Belgique, souvent considérée comme le dépositaire des avoirs chinois, en a cédé 22 milliards de dollars au cours de cette période.

«Il y a une intention claire de diversifier les avoirs en dollars américains», est bien obligé de reconnaître l’expert maison de Bloomberg Intelligence, Stephen Chiu.

«La vente de titres américains par la Chine pourrait s’accélérer avec la reprise de la guerre commerciale entre les Etats-Unis et la Chine.»

Dans le même temps, la Chine augmente ses réserves d’or mois après mois; + 4,9 % en avril, soit sa plus forte augmentation depuis 2015.

Si l’on ajoute à ceci que Moscou et Pékin poursuivent leur stratégie de dédollarisation de leurs échanges, dont ils espèrent qu’elle fera des émules…

… sans oublier l’énorme épée de Damoclès que fait peser sur le petrodollar l’adhésion de l’Arabie saoudite aux BRICS.

Le constat est implacable: le dollar, outil de domination de l’Empire par excellence, vit ses derniers instants en tant que monnaie de réserve mondiale.
