Les ministres Rachida Dati et Bruno Le Maire viennent de confier à Sébastien Soriano la mission de repenser le système de distribution de la presse. Ancien président de l’Arcep, l’Autorité de régulation des communications électroniques, des postes et de la distribution de la presse, celui-ci avait taxé la presse magazine au profit des seuls quotidiens nationaux détenus par des milliardaires.

La distribution de la presse française est profondément discriminatoire et le gouvernement français risque encore d’aggraver ce déséquilibre au profit des seuls quotidiens nationaux. Les quotidiens nationaux bénéficient d’une aide d’État de 27 millions d’euros, reversée à France Messagerie, la société qui les distribue, tandis que les Messageries Lyonnaises de Presse (MLP), qui ont en charge les magazines et toutes les autres publications ne perçoivent rien. Par ailleurs, tous les titres, toutes les publications doivent payer une contribution exceptionnelle de 8,3 millions d’euros, la péréquation, au profit de la distribution des quotidiens nationaux.
